Perfect Wedding Ballroom
We set out to create a beautiful, contemporary space that would be ideal for weddings as well as other events. The ballroom renovation was overseen by talented interior designer Julie Goggin and her team who created a stylish, bright and elegant space that is ideal as a Wicklow wedding venue, gala dinners, corporate events, prizegiving events and much more. The design and décor of this stunning space was inspired by Russborough House, a nearby famous palatial manor house, and the lakes which surround Tulfarris.
Beautiful Ballroom Décor
Our new ballroom is a modern interpretation of a classical ballroom. Julie and her team designed bespoke wall panelling with inset mirrors which reflect light and add a real sense of luxury to the room. The colour palette was intentionally soft with a warm white providing a backdrop accentuated by eye-catching blue accents. The addition of decorative crystal pendant chandeliers bring focal points to the room alongside uplighters providing sheets of warm light to the bow-shaped ceiling. It’s a perfect day to night wedding ballroom with floods of natural light during the day transitioning to soft, warm lighting in the evening.
The large bar and seating area adjacent to the Russborough Suite can be partitioned off from the ballroom or left open. Enjoy a mix of comfortable sofa seating and traditional buttoned banquette seating with stone-topped cocktail tables. There are high bar tables paired with leather-clad stools. The bar itself is painted in an eye-catching deep midnight blue and is topped with natural stone.
The entire space is elegant and luxurious with lots of natural light providing the perfect setting for a dream wedding in Wicklow. Guests can also enjoy direct access onto the terrace overlooking the Blessington Lakes – a perfect spot for wedding photos.

Tulfarris Resort
Our stunning new ballroom is just one of the ongoing renovations to Tulfarris. Since the Hotel and resort were purchased by PREM Group and we have been enjoying a major capital programme and extensive renovations. Since 2016, the company has spent over €7.4 million on the property, improving the look and feel of the Hotel and enhancing guests’ experiences. Works have included the addition of a new contemporary golf clubhouse and the redesign of the hotel restaurant, Fia Rua. Each of the guest bedrooms has been refurbished including bedrooms in the original 18th Century Manor House. Significant improvements have also been made to the championship golf course.
