Joanne & Keith

Our Story

A little bit about you both:

Myself and Keith met in school and we've been together for 13 years.

Tell us a bit about the proposal:

Keith popped the question on a weekend away in Athlone

What suppliers did you work with?:

Our gorgeous seminaked buttercream 3 tiered cake was made by Kelly in kdcakes, invitesbyjenirl did our invites, flowers and decor by Frogprinceweddings and our band was The Suite they really fantastic. The dancefloor was full all night. Wedding rings both from John Brereton

The Big Day:

The ceremony was held in Tulfarris, we had our pictures taken in the Manor that morning and outside the house, we chose for start volovants and chicken and beef for main. Our first dance was Have I told you lately by Van Morrison and one of my favourite parts of the day was the evening sparklers outside while the room was getting set up. Everyone got involved and it was very special.

Post Wedding celebrations:

We had our second day in the lobby area of Tulfarris and hired a 3 piece Trad Band! We had an outdoor Bbq (in October) and served wedding cake that night. Everything went perfectly. We were also lucky enough to get away to Paris and Tenerife for just over 2 weeks and we really appreciated it after being locked down and having not been away for so long.

Why did you choose Tulfarris?:

We initially chose Tulfarris because of the initial wow factor we got. Neither of us had ever been there and it was lucky number 7! We both knew instantly it was the one. The staff were super on the leadup and on both days, we felt so grateful that everything went so smoothly when the main event finally came around and no request was too much for the staff. Honora was fantastic in helping us plan our day with all of the date changes and setbacks. The food was delicious we knew from our tasting that everyone would love the food and it did not disappoint. Derek was with us on the day of the wedding and he was an absolute gent. We stayed in the Manor and it was lovely to have the space for guests to enjoy as an extra area before the meal. We really have fond memories of our experience with Tulfarris and would have no problem recommending to anyone. Our original date was the August 2020 Bank Holiday, we eventually got there on a Thursday in October 2021. It was worth the wait!
